The lighting in that panel really is good – especially since the highlights on Murai’s eyes have the effect of reversing the expected coloration in a way that resonates chillingly with her “shining dark” problem.
Fabulous effect on Murai in the fifth panel. Poor kid, but she looks suitably chilly while discussing shining darkness…
