This is another great page. It could be filled with philisophical tragedy and whatnot, and it’s clearly affecting Murai deeply (her glare is amazing), but as usual, Digger saves the day. “Inefficient” indeed. I love how her view comes from an engineering perspective. It makes things so much fun!
I’m pretty sure it’s not safe to assume that a god’s heart needs to be attached. I mean, the gushing of the blood from the arm was coinciding with the beating, so…
I love the not within operating limits, but then Gods have never been big with operating within limits. It tends to detract fromt he whole “godlike” image
The “inefficient” crack is such an engineer thing to say (and I resemble that remark)! Digger may be my new favorite comic character. I just found this comic recently through i09 and I’ve been working my way through. The artwork is awesome, the plot is intriguing, and I just love Digger’s attitude in dealing with all the wackiness!
“Grave robbing, that’s new. Interesting.”
“I know you meant to say gross and disturbing.”
“Yes, yes, yes of course. Terrible thing. Must put a stop to it. Er, damn it.”

HA! Awesome page! I LOL’d my ass off!
Man, you’d think Murai was this sweet kid, and then she just gives Digger a dirty look like that… XD
Hahaha, “not within operating limits”
What a great way to put it
I’m pretty sure it’s not safe to assume that a god’s heart needs to be attached. I mean, the gushing of the blood from the arm was coinciding with the beating, so…
I get that look a lot, and for typically the same reasons. ‘Overly Practical’ tends to bug people…
Digger looks so unconcerned with the look Murai throws at her.
It did say a few pages ago that assuming a god’s anatomy did not differ too far from their own was “Not a safe assumption”…
What I’m getting from Digger is that “Well, DUH, it’s wrong, but it’s ALSO inefficient.”
I love the not within operating limits, but then Gods have never been big with operating within limits. It tends to detract fromt he whole “godlike” image
I get the feeling that, if wombats went in for religion, “inefficiency” would be a mortal sin.
…unless you were doubling up on bracing, of course.

It’s a worse sin to a wombat to be inefficient, honestly, so it makes perfect sense for Digger.
Was anyone else reminded of this scene?:
“Grave robbing, that’s new. Interesting.”
“I know you meant to say gross and disturbing.”
“Yes, yes, yes of course. Terrible thing. Must put a stop to it. Er, damn it.”
