Hmm, these creatures sound like the dark servants AKA metal birds AKA the hyena creatures that serve sweetgrass voice by keeping the male hyena god, He-Is, alive, no? They’re certainly the sort to write the left-hand names of god in purple ink, eh? Eh?! *wink-wink, nudge-nudge* *coughSPOILERScough*
I love the hallucinations. The “lefthand names of God” in particular reminds me of a fever dream I had as a kid… not in the message, but in general style. Weird stuff.
I’m reading this 9-14-2010, and I have to say, something disturbing just popped into my mind. (Possible spoiler warning a bit…) If you’ve read the whole thing, this isn’t entirely hallucination. So that bit about the Warren makes me want to cringe.
